A Look At Santa Monica’s ‘Cult’ Café

Kim Vu, a chef born in Vietnam, uses classic Los Angeles dishes for her preparations at the new Cult café on The Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Vu does that as a tribute to the trends, cult-favorite preparations, and chefs of Los Angeles.

Cult is open for three meals a day, and it has a bar with the Lanea restaurant team, which includes Connor McRaith. It has a breakfast menu, too, that many people regard as being versatile.

One of Cult’s three breakfast sandwich options, made of Spam and green eggs, is an interpretation of an Eggslut’s product. It has seared Spam, avocado, scrambled eggs, and arugula with pesto dressing.

The restaurant’s French toast collection includes the following products.

  • A classic toast version
  • Another item with Saigon cinnamon, fresh cream, Driscoll’s blueberries, and lemon compote
  • Another product containing toasted sesame, tamarind butter, maple syrup, and sweetened condensed milk topped off with almonds

The Vietnamese chef’s spin on California’s classic dish, avocado tartine, contains caramelized onion, chipotle aioli, blistered tomato, and blue cheese crumble. Vu also prepares a Greek variant of avocado tartine topped with tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, and olives.

Cult has enjoyable grab-and-go options for breakfast, particularly the vegan-friendly chia seed and vanilla yogurt. The yogurt alternative is topped with Almond Joy Overnight Oats, plus crushed almonds. The oats-based product’s ingredients are likely to keep you feeling satisfied for almost the complete day.

Cult also makes homemade croissants, scones, cookies, muffins, and bread puddings available to customers. Lena Enriquez leads the restaurant’s coffee program.
