Señoreata Bags First Prize At The Great Food Truck Race

The Señoreata team, helmed by Evanice Holz, just bagged the first prize ($50,000) on The Great Food Truck Race’s season 15 this week. Señoreata winning is the first time a plant-based food truck has made it this big in the competition, and to top that off, the margin of victory was very high. The team travelled across SoCal for the nine-contender food truck challenge.

“I am overcome with emotion that we not only won, but we made history on Food Network with our victory,” Holz said in a post-win interview. “I’m incredibly proud to have done so as the first plant-based and Latina-owned business bringing it back to our hometown of Los Angeles. This was the hardest work we’ve ever done. Grueling intense prep, selling and planning, while being filmed on a time crunch for long hours, having to start new social media from zero for the competition, and selling in cities we’ve never been to was a challenge we worked around the clock to turn into our strengths.”

“Adri, Chely and I are splitting the grand prize three ways,” she declared. “My portion of the prize will go back into the Señoreata . I know a restaurant is in my future, but there are also so many things I want to do to expand our range.”

Holz and team are slated to be at their usual haunt at Smorgasburg on July the 31st, Rosenthal Wine Bar and Patio (Malibu) on August the 6th, and El Segundo on August the 20th.
