Bars May Serve Cocktails To-Go Even When California Reopens Fully

The closure of bars and restaurants in California allowed bending some dining rules, including the one applicable to cocktails served as ‘to-go’ drinks. With the state likely to reopen fully in mid-June, California Governor Gavin Newsom stated that the takeout products would stay.

The epidemic may be disappearing, but cocktails to-go do not need to, wrote Newsom on Twitter on June 03, 2021. California would allow outdoor dining expansion processes and these cocktails to stay even as it reopens fully in a few days.

Newsom will allow bars and restaurants to keep using parking lots and sidewalks. It is a measure taken after California put indoor dining in a category that means that it is highly likely to spread the coronavirus disease.

Restaurants in California aid in creating the diverse and vibrant communities that cause it to be a state that people elsewhere want to have themselves, said Newsom. As California turns to life after the epidemic, Newsom said best practices that have aided businesses in transforming customer experience would be continuously adapted. With the support and new opportunities for small and large businesses, and the positive attitude that has taken it through 2020, Newsom said that California would come back from the epidemic.

When the state’s economy opens again fully, bars and restaurants can resume their indoor operations at their pre-pandemic capacities. Besides, the US state will extend its regulatory COVID-19 relief provisions to the last day of this year to slow down coronavirus transmission while letting these businesses recover.
