The OC Fair Returns With A New Theme

Orange County Fair

Angelenos saw a vacant fairground in the City of Pomona in 2020 because of the pandemic, and they should wait until May 2022 for their next county fair. However, the OC Fair will run through August 15, 2021, with a limited capacity.

Besides over 70 food sellers and Centennial Farm’s cute baby pigs, entertainment is returning to the community stages, Pacific Amphitheatre, The Hangar, and the whole fairgrounds.

Available to keep fair attendees fed, the sellers include Chuckwagon Wild Hog BBQ, Australian Battered Potatoes, Dutchman’s Funnel Cake, and OC’s own vendor Dole Whip.

Some of the menu options for the 2021 fair will be the tacos of Pepe’s Mariscos, a Brownie Parfait with Mom’s 50/50 Brownie and Bavarian cream layers, and chocolate chips of Mom’s Bakeshoppe. Chicken Charlie’s restaurant will offer not just the Waffle cone featuring mac and cheese and buffalo chicken but also its ice cream-topped Chicken Lumpia.

The Toyota Summer Concert Series will occur in the said amphitheater, starting with a Brantley Gilbert performance in late July. Then, the venue will host performances from Cheap Trick with Blue Oyster Cult, Cole Swindell, Dwight Yoakam, Rebelution, and many others. Stand-up comic Jo Koy is all set to do the closing performance of the OC Fair.

The series of concerts at The Hangar will have performances or gigs from the likes of ABBA LA, Queen Nation, and more tribute bands. Further, the so-called All-Alaskan Racing Pigs event will also return on a brand new track. Shared below is a list of important things to keep in mind about the new edition of the OC Fair.

  • There is a small number of OC Fair tickets up for grabs daily.
  • The event only sells online tickets in advance, and that too, without any transaction fees.
  • Tickets to music concerts come with same-day OC Fair admission.
  • Tickets are valid for just the date on which these are bought, without refund options. So, be sure of choosing the dates carefully.
  • There is still no plan to raise capacity to let more people into the OC Fair.
  • Ticket rates will not go up.
  • Sales are not limited to California’s residents any longer.
  • The OC Fair requires unvaccinated attendees to use face masks when indoors.

‘Time For Fun ’is the theme for the 2021 edition of the OC Fair. It usually attracts more than one million guests, but one wonders how many people would attend the fair this time around.
